Our volunteers help us provide compassionate hospitality by lifting the spirits and brightening the days of our families. One way is to volunteer at one of our Houses or Family Room. Many who are unable to volunteer on a regular basis may choose to participate in a volunteer project or one of our special events.
Your help enables us to provide a clean and comfortable ‘home away from home’ for our guest families.
House Volunteers play an important role in the day-to-day operations of the Ronald McDonald House. They provide administrative support, help keep our House clean and tidy, offer family support and greet families with welcoming smiles and listening ears.
House Volunteers serve for 3 hours weekly or bi-weekly and must be 18 years or older.
For more information on becoming a House Volunteer, contact Judy Baldridge, House Manager, at 405.424.6873 ext. 101 or email@example.com.
Family Room Volunteers
Family Room Volunteers extend the hospitality to visitors of the Ronald McDonald Family Room. While upholding all Family Room and hospital policies, they help check in families, record data, keep the Family Room neat and tidy, serve as a warm and friendly face to families and assist them with resources.
Family Room Volunteers serve for 4 hours weekly or bi-weekly and must be 18 years or older.
For more information regarding Family Room Volunteers, contact Alana Brewer, Family Room Manager, at 405.271.2215 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Throughout the year, RMHC-OKC often looks for groups to help with various projects around the House. Project Volunteers have helped with deep cleaning, staging pull-tabs, decorating for holidays and making snack bags or baking for families. There are always ways to get involved and help families feel at home.
For more information regarding project opportunities, contact Judy Baldridge, House Manager, at 405.424.6873 ext. 101 or email@example.com.
Guest Chef Volunteers
After a long day at the hospital, there’s nothing more appreciated than a home-cooked meal. Get together with friends, family, or co-workers to plan a menu and prepare a comforting evening meal for our families. We provide the kitchen, you provide the food. Whether a one-time event, or a monthly date, we invite you to come to the House and share your culinary skills with our families. To learn more about being a Guest Chef, click here.
For more information or to schedule as a Guest Chef, contact Bond Andrews, Guest Chef coordinator, at 405.424.6873 ext. 102 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
