Helping students afford the education of their dreams
Since 2003, Ronald McDonald House Charities® Oklahoma City has awarded more than $700,000 in scholarships to students in financial need who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.
In 2016, a total of $115,500 in college scholarships was awarded to 57 graduating high school seniors from 26 cities across Oklahoma and north Texas.
2017 Scholarship Awards
2017 scholarship awards will range from $1,500 to $10,000.
The $10,000 awards are payable $2,500 each year for four consecutive years of full time study commencing with the 2017-2018 academic year. To be eligible for the full award, recipients must complete 12 hours each semester and maintain a 3.0 GPA.
All other awards are single year awards ranging from $1,500 to $2,500.
Scholarship awards are paid directly to the student's bursar account.
How to Apply
Students may apply online for a 2017 scholarship award October 1, 2016 through January 18, 2017.
Local scholarships are available from RMHC-OKC to graduating high school seniors from the following counties:
North Texas Counties: Archer, Baylor, Clay, Montague, Wichita, Wilbarger and Young.
General Eligibility Requirements
To apply for an RMHC-OKC scholarship, a student must:
Be a high school senior
Be younger than 21 years old
Plan to enroll at an accredited institution of higher education or vocational/technical school during the academic year following graduation
Be a legal U.S. resident
Live in Ronald McDonald House Charities Oklahoma City’s geographic area
Submit a complete application and all required documentation by the deadline of the application
Meet any additional eligibility requirements outlined by each scholarship program
Provide verification of enrollment each year at respective accredited post-secondary institution
